Default engine build ?

I just ordered a set of pistons there standard bore hi comp se pistons 10.25s and a set andrews tw37s cams, does anyone know away to get an estimate of what the compression ratio is going to about be with stock 05 heads? I am guessing 9.7 or less so no need for comp releases? but not sure. was all ready to go flat top 95 but I am cheap and can do this for under 70 bucks by doing the work myself. also was wondering what size head gaskets might be a good choice.

you probably will have too much compression with that setup...most folks like 9.8 max with the 37 cams...I would recommend flattop pistons and .030" head gaskets in a 95" motor and 37 cams...maybe have the heads milled to 83cc

You could try the compression calculator at Bigboyzcycles.com

wow just got done doing the calulator there? thanks alot I am aliite baffled by the to sets of corrected hot/ cold cr results. shows i will be almost right on point with the set up, depending on gasket and accual head ccs with the top warm ccr results on the site. wondering if ill need releases? thinking should be good with a 88 and I just put a 24 tooth comp sprocket on last week, has about half the weight? just winging it hoping this makes sense to someone other than me thanks alot. all input helps alot thanks guys. engine theory/science is fun especially with beer but darn determined to keep this thing infront of buddies new 96 for a while with out getting castrated by women this woman in my house
