what S&S cams
heads ???
HQ is a very good kit so is my Baisley set up....
if you would like i could send you over my dyno sheets i know its a 120 build but a 117 should not be that far off.
i also know for a fact the hillside 117 will produce some good # have dyno sheets for these as well( i would need permission to send you the hillside build)as a few other sponsor builds.

585
cylinder head port work
This work is a lot more than a 103 kit but should be a lot more power and torque. Told him still wante a daily driver and reliablity. He said no problem.

S&S 585 cams in a 117? I would've thought he'd suggest the 625 or 640 cams from S&S in a build that big. A friend of mine just built a 117" in his '05 Road King with axtell pistons and jugs, R&R Cast Heads, S&S 625 cam, S&S Crank, Rinehart 2-1. Made 125 hp, 124 tq.

I will check on the cams, I have to builds I was talking about with them. One was for a 103 and the other 117. So does you friend like his build?

He loves it so far. It was a "step up" from his 98" that made 115 hp and 106 tq (same bike).

We just did a carbed 117" for a client in Pittsburgh, that rolled 125/130 with Wood 400G's.
Torque all in by 3300.

both companies are very good it all depends on what the customer wants and can afford. asking a professional such as hillside their opinions like that are not fair to hillside and if he answrs the question in any way it may be used against him in later posts.
i have seen it and i have been apart of it also trust me that is a loaded question.
i dont mean to offend you but thats the facts.
i prefer Baisley heads to a lot of others yes i have used a couple of others as well
both companies are very good at what they do.
like i said it depends on what theh customer would like.....
some like blonds to brunettes and red heads
