Has anyone had a crank runout repaired and had the pin welded to keep it in phase?
I'm getting viberation at 4200 RPM and up. The more I look into the possible causes the more I see about the cranks shifting on the pin causing runout and viberation.
Just wandering if the repair worked and was worth doing. Any idea on cost to repair?
I would check the run out and if its more than .003 I would not chance it. I had one that was at .019 and sent it to Falicon http://www.faliconcranks.com/
They put it back to less than .001 and have been happy as a clam with mine. I think the cost was like 125.00 plus shipping.
