Thanks New Mentor and others for feedback. I am very excited to get started on this. Wish I had the courage to do the build myself, but I think I found a good indy.

I have one last question. Does anyone know where I can get Cometic gaskets more cheaply than full price? Or is this one of those items you just have to pay retail for? Thanks again.

The 10.25 cast pistons are what I'm using, and they do great. Think if I had to do it again I would go with forged pistons.

Thanks again, all. Why chose forged in this case? I understand forged hold up better, but I've also heard cast seat better? How will this choice affect deck height and squish/quench? Input greatly appreciated.

cast vs forged?
Going for 103 build next week, which is the better piston cast or forged?

Forged pistons are more stable at higher RPMs and have a cleaner look to them and they are about twice the price of cast, if all that matters. As stated before, I'm running the SE 10.25 cast pistons and I've no problems so far. Bike's to be dynoed today and if it lives through that I guess everything will be alright.

Good luck on dyno. You got a sharp looking scoot.
