my 2006 road glide stalls when at idle. will start up right away, but can stall again at next stop. it does not do this on short runs and not everytime out. does this sound like the injector issue or something else.
please help.
Mine did the same thing. Dealer said to let it warm up a good 1 to 2 minutes when cold. Also blamed it on the reformulated gas that changed over on April 15th. And lastly don't blip the throttle when coming to those stop signs when engine is cold. I was doubtful but it worked for me. Still seems like it wants to stall but it seems to work.
If you have to go through the routine of waiting for the bike to warn up why have FI instead of a Carb. The advantage to FI is that you are not suppose to wait. Sounds like you have the injector issue. Ask for the 25 degree and get the 8 degree replaced. $20K plus and you have this BS
I don't know about hullinone but I have the new injectors. Came that way from the factory.
I'm tired of bitchin. Every time I take it to the dealer - "cant duplicate problem"- I'll just start my bike a minute sooner than everyone else.
Bob,
does not sound stupid, I am on the same page but running out of options.
The bike does start at a high idle and then drop down exactly as you described, on the nose what does that mean?
As far as I know I always wait for the CEL to turn off.
Not sure about fuel pump wine, but I have not noticed it.
I may be blipping the throttle, I tend to do that.
I am aware of the injectors and will check ASAP, bike at local HD dealer for this and other issues.
I appreciate any advise you may offer.
