Noise reduction
How noisey is the Woods TW6HG cam?
Has anyone used the Baisley LMR spring with the Woods TW6HG cam?
If so, does the spring reduce the noise a significant amount?

Cant tell you about the H at 590 lift, but the 6 is relatively quiet at 510 lift. Other than a little whining in the gears, have heard the 6h being a little nosier. Good valve springs could be the key to the valve lash issue.

I'm running the 6H with SE 103 heads (the early ones) SE cam plate and pump, AMS lifters TP roller rockers and SE tapered adjustable push rods. Pulled the 253 cam out and added all the above (except the heads) and the cam chest was quiet as a mouse (still running chains) but had more valve noise. Put about 3000 miles on it and readjusted the push rods to .130 and it is as quiet as when it was running the 253s. Still have a pesky exhaust valve tap on the front but that has been there for the last 40K.
