i have a 82 FLH it will pop from the carb when trying to take off
went and picked up a used carb at a swap but it dose the same
thing. I was told at the meet that was just norm for a shovel head
whats the truth????
Generally it's lean in transition with either jetting or since you tried two carbs it could be an intake leak too. There is also a mod that can be done the carb to stop this, but damned if I can remember what it is, and whether the mod was for this particular problem/ carb combo. The fact that it's shovel means nothing in itself when it comes to lean hesitation and pop. There is some mention of hesitation caused from a part incorrectly installed. http://www.jockeyjournal.com/forum/s...t=31422&page=2
