Rinehart slip on mufflers for FLSTC
I have an opportunity to purchase a set of rinehart slip on mufflers at a good price. I have a 2004 FLSTC and the part number of the mufflers is R5-1023BB. This shows to be for a 2005-6 FLSTN. Does anyone know if these mufflers will also work with my bike? I was told by the seller that they should but not sure if he really knows.

The issue would be the support bracket. On the FLSTN the bracket swoops back with a 45 degree angle on the upper and lower side of the bracket. The stock muffler is tapped so that a bolt passes through the bracket and threads into the muffler body. The 45 degree angle allows for the offset of the upper and lower muffler. The Rienhart muffler is not tapped and simply has tabs..The upper muffler has a tab on the underside and the lower a tab on the top side. The tabs overlap and a bolt passes through the tabs and through holes in the support bracket face. You then put a nut on the back side of the bracket and snug down. So....on your custom...is the support bracket drilled on the face to allow bolts to pass through? Is the stock set up on yours the same as a Deluxe? Stop by a dealer and look. Sorry don't have pics.
