Cold weather Heritage
I'm starting to think this bike is out to drive me nuts. It's a stock 87 Heritage with 13k miles on it. When it's cold in the morning, bike runs great. 8 miles to work with no problem. Sits in the sun all day. I don't make it 1 mile when it starts missing. I talked to a HD tech and he said heat kills the cam sensor plus I still had the compliance fittings. Put a Screamin' Eagle intake and new sensor in and it ran great till it sat in the sun today. Put a new coil, wires, plugs and ignition switch in and does the same thing. I've heard of the tank vent problem. I tried loosening the gas caps. Heat is definitely a factor. Maybe the carb ?? I don't trust this thing now. Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
