Default Best Air Kit

I'm getting ready to install an air kit on my '06 Deluxe.

I know there are a few on the market (Stage 1, Arlin Ness etc...) but which one is the gold standard and why?

Anything larger than stock filter will help.Lots of choices if you are going to retain the stock cover or go with a custom.
I kept the stock cover and using a Zippers kit.

A larger filter is only going to help if the stock exhaust and tuning has or will be changed.

Hangfire, I am in the same boat as you are. I'm looking for an a/c for my 09 street glide and just cant decide on which one to go with. so far it's between the mo-flow a/c from cycle visions and a hypercharger. i have noticed a lot of people with arlen ness as well as the SE a/c but i think im looking for something a little more stylized than a round filter element sticking off the side of my bike.

Hey guys, i just did the SE stage 1 kit w/ stock cover. There is a notable difference in power but I added the SE Super Tuner as well with a down load. However, there are lots on the aftermarket side with lots of choices. Zippers as mentioned is a nice piece, as well the Doherty Power Pacc is probably the best in fit and finish, quality wise as well as performance. If you get the Screaming Eagle stage 1 intake/filter you can toss the element when its time and go with a regular red K&N. Good luck with your selection...

How does a Stage 1 air kit and a Vance & Hines power pak sound?!?!?

I can probably swing it all for around $300.

btw, I'm running V&H big shots.

That sounds pretty much in the ball park of other packages. Air intake/filter will usually run about $130.00 -$169. Are you talking about the Vance and Hines fuel pak ? That alone I think is almost $300.00 Cdn. If you can get both for about $300.00 you're doin fine.

I've located it all for close to $300 USD so I'm pulling the trigger on everything today. Thanks for the input!
