rocker box leak
Does anyone have a temporary fix for a leaking rocker box gasket. I want to go to the HDF rally next weekend and I don't think I'll have time to buy the parts and install them before then. Someone suggested cleaning the outside of the box at the gasket line really well and using silicone sealer to try to buy me a little time till I can do it right. Any thoughts out there?

Don't know if this is the right answer, but after two times with my gaskets leaking (thanks to the great job the dealer did the first time)....I didn't rush to get them fixed.
I mean I didn't let months go by, but I did let a few weeks go before I could get in.

Certainly don't see why some High Temp silicone wouldn't at least get ya there and back. Not the right fix of course but roadside repairs will do in a pinch. May want to just take a confidence turn on the fasteners also......maybe you just have a loose one.
