dynojet setup
What is the proper setup for dynojet on the 88tc.
I pulled the carb installed their needle, put the clip on the 4th grove down,
installed their emulsion tube and their 180 mainjet, drilled out the plug,
drilled out vaccum hole.
Now in the picture they show the three washers, shims all lined up looking
as they go ontop of the clip, the small end of needle.
That does not make sense to me it seems they should go under the clip
to aid in raising the needle. what do you people think?
I also left the stock # 45 slow jet in the carb.
The bike runs great but the sparkplugs are really light.
This is on a year 2000 wideglide
My mpg is around 32-35
I would like better any sugestions?
If you're looking for suggestions, mine would be to get rid of the kit and buy an 88 Sportster needle 27094-88. That's what I did (95" 2003 wideglide) and mpg on my last tank was 49.75. The Dynojet kit is notorious for poor mpg.
Here's a good article on what works: http://americanrider.com/output.cfm?id=1021951
