I hear what you're saying Phil, I called my local dealer to get a price on the Bassani Road Rage and was shocked at the price of the heat shields. About $850.00 for the pipe, and then another $350.00 for the heat shields. I could live with the price for the pipe, but wow, bend over for another $350.00 ? I do like the look of the Fat Cat, it looks like a really nice piece in pictures. Just wish I could listen to one up close...Thanks for your input.

Talking

From what I have heard Fat Cat works well with lower horsepower motors as were as the RR works well on higher horsepower applications. My Uncle is running a RR on a 124" and loves it as were as he runs a FC on his ultra that is basically stock. I like the sound of the RR better but its also got 130 hp breathing through it

Reeaaalllly....

Perhaps that's because it was walking away from your RR, like a CrotchRocket would...???...

BTW - "To me". The quiet baffle in a FatCat sounds like ****. I use standard baffle up to 107" or performance baffle on bigger motors.

The Fat cat is the best 2-1 out there.

+1 on the Fatcat. I am running its big brother, the Borzilla on my 120. I dont think you can beat the D&D fit and finish, and it produces power in a wide band, but is known for its bottom end performance.

I will admit it, I'm an idiot when it comes to mechanics, so pardon me if this question is stupid or easily answered by a simple search..

Do the baffles just simply quiet the motor or do they actually affect performance? What would happen if OP used the performance baffle on his 96? Would it just be really loud or would he lose performance as well?

hahaha...now that FatCat video of the 117" sounds killer. Maybe with a little displacement and compression the fatcat sounds better, but with the stock motor I wasn't impressed.

The performance baffle is about 2/3 the length of the std & QB. You for NOT want it for a 96" build ~ Trust me! It will not perform as well as either of the other two, for your application. I am running the Performance Baffle in my 120.
