I am bummed when I think about the new bikes getting the 96". But on the other side of the coin there are a lot of things to be sorted out. -1st year production problems -EPA restrictions -Inability to modify exhaust or air cleaner
All of these things seem like a bummer to me. I personally will be doing a 95 kit and getting the most out of the TC88. I took my bike out Sunday after feeling kind of down about the recent announcements. I put about a hundred miles on hammering the throttle out of turns and listening to the bike make the sound that made me want one in the first place. I love the sound of my SE air cleaner and V&H pipes. May not be available for the 2007 TC96. Just my two cents.
Why would you think there will be no aftermarket exhaust or AC for '07s? You can buy modify the exhaust and AC on new cars... there will plenty of mods for sale for '07 Harleys.
