Default 88 Upgrade

Have a 2001 Ultra FI with 15M miles and stage one upgrade. Dealer claims I can add a moderate power upgrade with a 203 cam. I was thinking of a stage 2 mod with no head work. With the cam only a cheaper way to go would you recommend?
I am an easy rider, no high speed, just want a little more torque.

I certainly cannot recommend cams like these other guys, because I have no experience with anything but the stage II and the 203's. My heads are stock on the 1550 kit with 203's but my intake has been ported. That's all I have done and I have really enjoyed the increase. I can certainly run with all the 96's and most 103's. The only benefit I can see with using the 203 is that it comes "in the kit". If you have the extra bucks, these other guys are probably correct in their cam recomendations. All I do know is that if you do the full-blown stage II...you will be much happier with the performance out of the 95 over the 88.

Yes, 203's will add something for you. Several on this forum have 203's in a 88".

Other options are Andrews 21 and 26. 21's bring a bit more tq on sooner, the 26's carry a bit more later in the rpm range.

All these cams will work with a 95" kit, no headwork required, if you decide later to go that direction.

I'm with Scott & George... The Andrews 26 makes a big difference in a generally stock 88 ~ much better than you'd get from the SE203.
