Have an 02 fxdwg I just bought within last two weeks.
Several things I want to troubleshoot but want to check plugs, add a fuel additive, etc before i go on tangents.
The immediate question I have is:
My fuel petcock/toggle looks like this.
____ON_____
FUEL____OFF
Somewhat normal I guess. My switch looks like a standard pointer switch, narrow on one side and fat on the other with a marker line.
However, it doesn't sit over all 3 of the positions on the toggle.
The narrow side can point to ON,OFF, or down, and when looked at from the line marker side, points to Down, FUEL, and ON.
Am I to presume that the indicator should actually read like this for practical purposes on the narrow side?
FUEL__
____ON
OFF___
Or is it possible to have a carb with no reserve and that's why the toggles misplaced? I need a manual!
