Anyone had experience with the head work from Big Boyz Cycles? It all reads good, and is priced nice for $299.00, but are they all of what they claim? Someone let me know so I don't have to be the $299.00 guinea pig.
They've done two set for me and both were great! I have also had a set done by Larry Hardy (Performance Techniques) for BIG $$$'s....
Results from all were good.
If I need another set, I'll call Bean @ BigBoyz in a heartbeat. Call & talk to them (ask for Bean) and tell him what your after & feel him out. Check Springer_'s signature for a 2nd (shop) phone number.... that's where I've been able to catch them.
Phil
BTW - the most recent two sets were from Bean.... the first set was Performance Techniques.
Phil,
Do you send them the heads with the valves still in place? And if so, do you get them back the same way?
thanks,
Uncle Peepers
I would be happy to jump in an answer that question, Phil can feel free to add his experience as well.
You or your shop removes the heads and they go right into a shipping box as a complete assembly. We receive them and completely disassemble them. The heads are then ported, cleaned and receive a performance valve job. Then they are cleaned again and assembled with new seals and repackaged for return shipping. When you receive them back, they are completely assembled and ready to bolt on the bike.
We also offer several other services as well, like cylinders boring and measure & milling if desired.
