Default titanium valves ??

anyone run them ? or have any first hand knowledge ? i would think that with there lighter weight you could run less seat pressure and help with valvetrain noise .... ?

Possibly but cost prohibitive in nothing less than a all out Harley racing application.Money could be better spent elsewhere.

When did the cost of anything in Harley land stop anybody? My point is that many HD owners will spend ridiculous amounts of money on chrome baubles, bangles and beads and trailer their bikes to wherever....what could two intake valves and two exhaust valves cost? Yes, I understand that there are costs involved with install and set up, etc. But I am more inclined to spend the money if there is a tangible gain to be made.
On the other hand, does anybody make titanium valves that would work?

We ran the Del West units in our AHDRA Mod bike, but stay away from the use of them in street applications as the initial cost, establishing the machining for the lengths, keeper grooves, and the use of lash caps, does not warrant the benefits of those, unless maximum effort is the ultimate goal.

Titanium valves are not going to eliminate valve train noise. There are many things one can do to chase the noise, like pushrod preload, rocker box alignment, leaking lifters, shimming rocker arms, checking rocker arm shaft wear, etc. Money would be better spent on elimnating all of the above as causes and if the noise is still there, spring for a set of Wood's new lifter. If you are running cams with aggressive ramps and high spring pressures, you might never get rid of the noise. JMHO.
