Question? Had stage 1 installed with screaming eagle slash cut down on my 05 Fuel injected RK Classic.. Problem Backfire and miss big time . Took it back to dealer and they adjusted the Idle . They said it was normal. I do not think so any suggestions?
Installing the stage 1 air cleaner and pipes yourself effect your warranty at all?????? Since HD did the tuning is that basically saying they have blessed it? Thanks..As soon as I sell my Wideglide, I will be doing they same thing to my Deluxe and if I can save a few bucks of labor costs intalling them myself then I will...Thanks again....
I think that question could be well answered by saying "it depends on the dealer" Some give you no BS and others say it will void your warrantee if they don't do the install
Hey Everyone! I am new to the Forum and a (Virgin) Harley Owner!
As far as doing a Stage 1, can I get by removing my baffles on my 05 Deluxe, and avoid the cost (for now anyway) with upgrading my exhaust?
Thanks in Advance
Until someone comes up with a performance exhaust that's as quiet as my stock pipes, I'll leave it alone. It seems to run really well and gets great mileage just the way it is...totally stock!
I couldn't get the links provided to work from the above posts, but here is a link that worked for me and it has alot of good information about Stage 1 on it. www.harley-performance.com

Don't mess with your baffles, all it does is make it louder, not better. The sound you get, you probably will not like and the missing backpressure will kill the lower end torque. Do it right with a set of slipons.
Is this a good stage one deal for a 05 efi Road King?
Bassani pipes
Revtech Digital Fuel Optimizer
"Big Sucker" Air Cleaner
and Installation for $970.00
Stage one for any bike will make it run better as long as there is some fuel enrichment going on also either rejet or ecm recalibration with EFI. Worth the money.
