fatcat vs. lowcats

fatcat vs. lowcats
I've been looking around the internet about these two pipes and I really like the low cats because my bike is lowered and I would not want to scrape a new set of fatcats. I came across a post here saying that the lowcats do not perform as well because it does not have the same stepped header that the fatcats do. Is this really what is going on? I thought it was the same pipe with a upswept muffler? I really am looking for the best performing 2 into 1 I can get and if its the fatcat....I guess I really just have to mind those right hand turns

I read the same post you did about the lowcat not being stepped like the fatcat. I was under the impression they were the same only the lowcat was upswept. You could call D&D yourself and ask them what the difference is. When I called to ask whether to run the boarzilla or the fatcat with bigbore baffle, Leonard answered the phone himself and answered all my questions.

I just put the fatcat pipes on an 03 standard flhti except for the 95in engine work bike is stock, I scape floor boards before hitting pipe with no air in shocks.
Other then that I'm happy, what a power did with the v&h fuel pack.
