Default dyna exhuast question?

dyna exhausts are broken up into 06 and up and tthen twin cam up to 05.

I have found a lot of good deals on exhausts that fall into the up to 05 category, but my superglide is an 06. I do not use my o2 sensors because i have a pc3. Will a pipe meant for an 05 work on an 06.

you probably know by now that 06' was a goofy transition year at the MOCO. Dyna's rolled out the 96" powertrain a year before the full FL lineup got thiers in 07'. An 05' Dyna is still the 88' TC. Be carefull because the 96" has a longer stroke than the 88". That might make a diff. When I went to 106" jugs on my 09' 96" TC the exhaust didnt fit as smoothly as stock, but worked out just the same. Good luck wether you go 2 into 2 or the 2 into 1.

I think where the big changes in the two years differ, is the frame and if im not mistaken, your bike is a 6 spd, right??

there might be some bracketing issues down by the transmission that you would have to over come putting the early system on the 06 and newer.

yea, 06 was a 6 speed 88" . kind of a strange year

i keep finding used exhausts on ebay and craigs list that fit an 05, but couldn't find very many for an 06
this morning i came across a bub 7 2 into 1 for my year and i went ahead and bought it. the price seemed good. it is new and i gave 310 plus 40 for shipping for a total of $350.

So now i have new cams (andrews 37 w 4* advance) and a new pipe on the way. I actually already have everything sitting on the self for the cams except the andrews advance gear, it is somewhere in the mail.

nice cam choice for your bike hound, I ride with someone who put that cam in his 88" softail and it runs strong. My ultra is an 06' with the 5 speed. This winter putting in the complete cam chest kit from andrews with the new 48 cams, should be good for the heavier bikes.
