2006 cams / 2008 cams difference

What is the difference between these years cams where i was told they won't interchange?

Absolutely will NOT interchange. The cams are totally different. Old cams ride in a roller bearing in the cam plate and new cams do not ride in any bearing, they ride on the parent metal of the camplate. So the ends of the cams are way different sizes. See?
