Default Lifter replacement

I just put cams in my bike and noticed the location of the oil holes for lifters and lifters only have oil hole on one side. Anyone know if the lifter's are directional other than the roller of course. worried about oil feed hole. i placed lifters with the holes towards each other. Thanks in advance for the info.

Non directional, orientation of oil holes does not matter.

I like to keep mine rolling the same direction and in the same hole so when I remove them they're labeled just like all the other parts, yea I don't mix my rockers or pushrods either. The oil holes in mine were not all the same from the factory but on my new set I have them all positioned inboard.

I don't know about the 2002's, but the manual for the 2008 models says the oil holes on the lifters should be turned inboard, toward the motor. If you'll notice, at least on the 2008 and later, the feed holes are inboard.

I did cams last week. The '02 manual does say that the oil hole should face "inboard." They work fine that way.

Not arguing with the sevice manual but the oil galley is 360* around the lifter bore so it doesn't matter which direction the oil comes from; think about it. Just saying, if you don't remember how you oriented the oil holes or if you oriented them out board or one out and one in, it doesn't matter and certainly not justification to R&R to re-orient. I am as **** as they come but that would be OTT.
