Default TC88 Flywheel assembly "A" vs "B"

I need a new crank/flywheel assembly and a friend has a new factory take-off unit, but it's from an "A" motor and I have a "B" motor. I read on this or another forum that the only difference between the two is that the "B" motor flywheel has the sproket for the balancer chain pressed on. This leads me to wonder if I can't just take this new FREE "A" motorflywheel assembly and have the sprocket installed. Anyone know the answer?

They are not interchangable. they are different in overall legnth. We have been using the new 699 retail stroker crank from HD and re-balancing it and upgrading it and end with a crank that is mint and less money than a S&S set of wheels. If you have to swap crank I would just install a stroker crank as you are there and no better time than to gain som cubic inch
