Default Dynajet or Dynajet Thunderslide?

I was wondering if anyone, while upgrading to Stage I (SE II slip-ons, SE air cleaner, and SE re-jet), has used the SE Dynajet Thunderslide kit as opposed to the plain SE Dynajet kit? If so, are you happy with the SE Thunderslide? I have a 2005 XL1200R and want to move up to Stage I but am not sure if the SE Thunderslide carb kit is worth the extra $$ over the regular SE Dynajet Kit.

Any input from those who have gone to Stage I would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Thumper26

Save your money, just up the low speed jet one size, un cap the idle mixture screw and adjust it to the highest and steadiest idle you can get, usually about 2 1/2 to 3 turns open , but shim your main jet needle up with 2 - #4 washers to richen things up when you hit the throttle, then figure out how you are going to get rid of the big grin on your face when you see that you only spent $4-$5 total and it can't run any better no matter what. Been doing it this way for many years.

Check out the do it yourself forums and it will give you explinations for rejetting in the engine section
