Yes, the 103's in stock trim run hotter than what we were used to. I have done HQ 500 cam, Supertrapp 2-1 (got rid of the cat), SE heavy breather and tuned with a TTS. The bike does have an oil cooler (factory) and it now runs in the 210 to 230 range depend on air temp range, still gets 42-44 mpg and is fun to ride. It is no where near what anyone would call "hot" even in these crazy temps we have been having. Tuning is the key as well as letting it breathe.

Going from a HD oil cooler to a Jags, well, have never done it but the HD cooler is what I also ran on my 120" without issues.

Thank you.

I am going to try an answer all questions at one time.

I have done se highflow ac, cycle shack slipon exhaust, and a SE supter tuner pro.
I payed the deal for a dyno. But it was pinging, bluing and deceling very bad ran like .... I tried talking with them but they where not interested in helping me. So I research all dyno tune shops around here and went to the best rated. It run much better now. I get a few decell pops in 3rd and 5th rolling off from 2600 to 3k rolling to 0. I am happy with the way she is running except that heat. I got her up to 260 going up wolf creek pass this weekend but she runs at 250 all the time. I do not want to blow rings or hurt the engine in any way.
I have no oil cooler at this time, and I run 20/50 wieght full syn oil. because the breakdown temp is supposed to be much higher around 300 from what I understand. But 260 is still way to close for me.

Thank you

Decel pops still indicate that the tune is not right yet. Install the oil cooler and things will cool down. I don't know anything about the but, from what I read, it isn't as sophisiticated as the SERT or TTS. If the bike was dyno tuned, you should have access to the A/F data which should tell you something.

I live and ride in south Texas where 100* temps are common in July/August. I run two oil coolers on my 107 to keep oil temps down in the 225*-235* range. Its a carbed bike but if it was EFI, I could probalby get rid of one of the oil coolers with good tune. Lately, both bikes are parked, consistent 100*+ ambient temps just take the fun out of the ride. I gear up when I ride and it's just to dang hot for that right now. My last time out was on my 95" Deuce and I was about an hour from home at 4:00PM when I passed through a couple of small towns. The digital temp on those flashing signs outside the banks were reading 103* and 105*; it was fracking hot! I run the small six row H-D cooler on the 95"er and temps were about 225* that day. I will be waiting for temps to drop back down in the low 90s before taking another long ride.
