I was wondering if anyone might have some idea as to the cost to replace my cams which are stock on a 2010 Ultra with stage 1 kit. I am wanting to have Andrews 48H cams installed. I got an email from a local shop here as follows: You will need lifters $95cam gasket kit$45 cam bearings$20 oil and filter$43.to tune your bike we will need the harley race tuner $459 or power commander $319 the install and tune is $300 . and install cams is $350
This doesn't include the cost of the cams that I am still trying to find. Looks like they sell for about $281. $1,600 seems pretty high but want it done right. I can do simple things like oil changes and such but wouldn't even try to tackle something like this. Does this seem about right to you guys? I am looking for some more torque especially with 2 up and luggage. I've read a number of posts that shows this cam setup for this bike is a very good choice. Any input would be appreciated.
