I've seen the tip on here to use Aero Kroil or PB Blaster and let is set a while until it has worked in good ... then use an ultra-sonic etching tool to 'walk' the stud out of the hole where it has snapped off ....
I have not tried it personally ... the tip had several endorsements from people who have tried it and swear by the method ... apparently, the vibrations from the etching tool help loosen the broken stud ... combined with the effect of the penetrating oil ... I don't have a link to any threads that might describe the process better, but you might consider doing a search on here before resorting to drastic, expensive measures ....
Made a fixture years ago, that not only works with Evo's, but T/C's as well.
Many times I can get the stud out, without destroying the parent threads,
but in some cases where they are corrsion-welded into the head, a simple Heli-Coil, once the damaged stud is removed.
