I'm going to use this thread as a means of keeping up with my build progress. My goal is to keep this build as CHEAP as possible. I'm looking to build a reliable 95" motor on a cheap budget. Below are the current specs of my setup.....
2006 Night Train
42mm Mikuni Carb
SE Stage 1
Bassani Pro Streets
Any input would be greatly appreciated. I need to look for cams (chain driven) & pistons. Also I'm not sure what all gaskets I will need also for the build...I'm a newbie...haha.
More than likely I'll be shooting for the SE-211's.

211 cams ($279), Cast compression pistons ($130) and slip ons in 1550cc form with stock heads is a guaranteed 90 hp and 100 TQ every time.
Thanks for that info. Thats probably what I'll be shooting for. I believe I can pick up the cams & pistons for Zanottis for a decent price. $212 (cams) & $95 (pistons) from Zanotti's, but lets see if I can score them cheaper elsewhere.....we'll see.
Just curious why you didn't have your cylinders bored? Big Boyz will do them for $130. You might be able to find a local shop to do them for even less. I paid $100 when I did my 95" build. The bigger question is, what are your goals for the build. Without going in with a specific goal and plan, you are likely to be dissapointed in the results.
A goal for the engine performance and a budget will provide better results rather than just trying to get to 95" the least expensive way possible.
Budget reliable build. I'm shooting for mid to upper end torque and hp which the 211's will give me. If I had Big Boyz do them, I would have ended up around the same price with shipping and everything. There aren't any good shops around here besides my stealer....
