Default Baffle Question

I just took my baffles out and saw that one was 75% gone and the other looks like it is untouched.. I just bought the bike from the dealer should I bring it to their attention could there be a problem?

Also can I just remove all the matting from the baffle and still get the back pressure from it?

Thanks.

You said you just bought the bike from a dealer but didn't say how many miles are on the bike. HOnestly, it looks like normal stuff to me. Fiberglass packing does burn up; you should be able to repack them.

33k miles.. so that looks normal that one would run that much hotter then the other? it is the front one and they are v&h duals

You don't say exactly what you have for headpipes; above the pic you posted it says '07 Road King, which makes me think stock headpipes with crossover, in which case the right side gets most of the exhaust. Even if you have true duals I don't know how much of an issue I'd make of the packing burning up unevenly unless you have a running condition. Check for exhaust leaks, make sure you don't have air leaking in on the pipe that burned up more of the packing; that will cause any unburned fuel vapor in the exhaust to ignite in the pipe. If you don't, I wouldn't sweat it unless you have some other running condition.

ok, Just seemed odd to me it looks like that one would be running rich.. no leaks and it is running well. Just seemed odd to me that one would run so much hotter.

Pipes are true duals never had those before either so didnt know if there was a differance.
