Question Scrap the "Y" pipe

I have a 2005 Road King TC88. I replaced a broken Y pipe, it cracked again so I repaired it. It is starting to crack again so I am considering a replacement header system. I have V&H monster ovals and have always had good luck with the brand. I recently saw Krome Werks and S&S both have a header system with a crossover routed under the frame (like newer models) with a hidden chamber connecting the two pipes. If anyone had any experience with these systems, please give me a rating review. Also I would appreciate reviews for any other after market header systems. I need to purchase one ASAP and need help deciding!

Have you seen how the under the frame crossover systems are mounted under the frame? I have seen a couple of guys with early models mount the later 2:1:2 system on early bikes but they had to fabricate hangars and drill and tap the oil pan to attach them since there is no mounting point under the frame. I think the under the frame systems are worth a look, just not sure what's involved in mounting them.

Any good 2 into 1 system will solve your problem, plus reduce weight and improve performance where a bagger need improvement.

You may want to look into a Fulsac true dual system. When my pipe cracked this is the route I went and I am really glad I did.

I used a Fullsac for a couple of years, then new TDs, but now have a SuperTrap Supermeg 2-into-1. There's no going back! Motor gives around 15% more low/mid range torque and is much smoother running.

So that's my suggestion. Not too noisy and good performance.
