Default Quick connect checkvalve leaking, need upper o-ring

I have a 2006 wide glide with a leaking upper o-ring on the inside of the quick connect under the tank. I have the lower o-ring but cannot find the part# or specs for the inside upper o-ring and mine is in about 30 pieces. I think that all of the bikes with quick connector checkvalves use the same o-rings. HD wont sell just the o-ring they want to sell the whole valve and fuel line assembly. Just to be clear I do not need the large o-ring that goes between the checkvalve and tank but the upper o-ring inside the checkvalve that keeps the valve sealed when no hose is connected. I would appreciate any help as I am unable to ride and unwilling to spend $65 because I have a bad $1 o-ring.

Any time I need an o-ring for the harley, it is off to the hardware store to pick through the bins. I have always found what I needed, just takes a little time. Have you tried that yet?

I'm not sure what o-ring you need but this is the one most likely to fail.

Harley fuel tank o-ring in the female section.

Harley # 11273 or John Deer # R26286. (10mm id x 14mm od)

Harley drain plug o-ring # 11105.

Thanks for the info guys. Bought the lower o-ring at john deere dealer using the part # then went to the hardware store. much bigger selection at the hardware store than any auto or motorcyle shop around. found the other oring and back in business.

Similar issue with my 05 Ultra. Bike just shut off one day. O-rings were swollen, dry and cracked. Inside the check valve, the large o-ring is m2 x 10. the smaller one (shut my fuel off) is m2.4 x 8.3 . The one in the fuel line is m2 x 5. I suggest you try to find viton o-rings. Nitrile rings will probably be OK. DO NOT use rubber o-rings available at most hardware stores. The modern gas will just eat them up. You can buy viton o-rings from Amazon 25 at a time. Share the extras with your friends. Hope this helped.
