I do not have the correct parts book to check the 04 Soft but as long as your bike is a carb model it looks to be the same camshafts. If your bike is injected it would have used different camshafts.

The cams for the early carbed bikes in the "A" engines have an intake close of 38* while the early EFI bikes with "B" engines (softails) have an intake close of 34*. So, you can use either just be aware that CCP will be a bit higher with the 34* intake close, which won't hurt anything and would help low end torque a bit.
