Sorry to just jump in here guys...but my buddy harleypingman sent me a link to this post and I thought it high time I joined this rowdy bunch in the HD forum.
Welcome, Pirateye. Glad you jumped in to explain the dyno results sincethey areYOUR dyno results!!!!
One of the most interesting elements of Pirateye's tuning on the dyno was that the HQ re-worked stock 88 heads flowed too much air at too high a velocity for the SERT to be able to be adjusted to provide enough fuel to get agood A/F number--that's some awesome headwork.
PhilM, me to. I am awaiting delivery of a SERT then it's off to Kevin's to begin the street tuning of my bone stock 88. I am glad I did the dyno runs after the cam installation because it showed a super rich then extremely lean a/f on WOT, so purchased the SERT. I am really looking forward to sitting at the computer in his garage, seeing the data from the SERT, and making adjustments, with Kevin looking over my shoulder the whole time, of course. I am also going to order an a/f meter and install it where the air temp gauge goes.
How do you get ahold of the folks at HQ, Doug responded to a email and told me to call them andits eitherbeen busy or no ansewer
Dave....speaking with Doug is well worth the wait. I was able to catch him yesterday and he is covered up. Be patient, he will get you. Another option would be to call Joanne (main number) and leave a message with her. TellemCarl and Kevinsent ya!
