I forgot to mention that I asked the tech why this dyno said my hp & tq in 04had 69.46 & 79.55. Andif you look at the runs from 04 above it shows 70.1 & 80.8. He said that it had a peak. I don't understand that.
I am goin to call the dealer tommorrow and see if they will fix it. I will also tell them that if not I will go elsewhere (but where), and see if they will pay (reimberse) me for the job elsewhere. I was charged for 1 hr labor ($65).
Quess I should have read this better. It is a 88" right, you might want to look at puting your stock carb back on if you still have it.
And what is a stinger trap door?
I agree with all of you. The tech said that if he changed the jet again that the bike would be running really lean. Yes the 03 run is from my bike. They were having an open house and were doing free dyno runs. No tunning, no afr's, just runs. Here are my runs from 03 and 04. Again no tunning.
The scaling is screwed up on your sheet. HP and TQ cross at 5252 rpm, not in the 4k's as your's do. Go back and have them force to scale and repring it for you. The sheet will look much more realistic.
Well first the 88 inch and a 510 are not a good combo, you need at least 9.5 compression to support that cam correctly. Second I would drop the needle , and drop the main. I would use a 185-190 main. Also a fast accle test to see if the slide is lifting too soon, you may find that is the only problem. The carb may be getting onto the main too soon. Please do not take offense to my comments, not intended that way, only facts on your current build. You have some great items there just need to get them to work as a good combo. You could swap in a .030 head gasket to help out , but if you are pulling the heads, I would at least go to 95 inch and deck the heads with port work. Do it once do it right is a motto we live be here.
Ok, I went to the dealer and spoke to the dyno tech and the service manager. They said that this is the best they can do for my bike. There is no guaranty that my hp & tq would go up with the cam install. So I asked if I could get reimbersed if I went elsewhere for a dyno, again the answer was no.
Anyway, I called another hd dealer in my area and set up an appiontment for Tue.This dyno tech said that I should be getting "closer to 80hp & 90tq". I would be happy if I got close to 77hp & 87tq. That would be a big jump from the 70hp & 80tq that I'm getting now. He also said what alot of you here are saying "that the jets need to be changed, and the afr should be closer to the 13 mark. He agreed that the bike is running to rich. Will keep you all posted as to the results. Thank for all your help and advice.
