So here's the run down I took my bike apart it's a 2009 street glide with a 103 kit in it
I decided to have the heads cnc ported and polished sent them to s&s I also installed s&s 585 ez start cams adjustable pushrods roller rockers lifters etc. assembled everything back together started the bike and it is running really rich and the idle fluctuates
It's turning check engine light on and I'm getting the p0505 code
Checked for intake leaks and went over everything again
I'm using a power commander v with auto tune
The only thing I can think of is that when the previous owner had the 103 kit installed they put the screaming eagle tuner on it and now it's getting way to much fuel but I don't have software for the screaming eagle tuner
Any suggestions? I'm ready to pull my hair out
Thanks
Joe
that code is for electronic throttle control it uses inputs to control idle speed through serial data circuits to the throttle actuator. the dc motor which is located on throttle body activates the throttle plate.when actual idle rpm does not match the desired rpm idle the code sets. I would check the connections at the etc module for any damage backed out terminals . remove the air breather and use my fingers to see if throttle plate moves freely, with no binding there is sensors in there that are not agreeing which is causing the idle to hunt up and down.
