I was interested in giving the engine the wow factor. I talked to friends and they told me to look at HD big bore kits. I'm looking to really make the bike run but not sure what would give me the wow factor I'm looking for. Some people say stay away of 110 kits and some say there good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I'm nott familiar with the SE edition Fatboy, did that still have the 88 like other 06 softails? If it has the 88 your best bet is a 95 inch setup with cams, Fuel Moto can hook you up and help you with a cam choice. If the put a 96 in the SE editions you can go to a 106/107 again Fuel Moto has great setups for this. There are several other places to get the big bore kits that do an good job as well look around the forum in some of the dyno stickies and you can see what different setups are putting out.
Contact Don Dorfman, Head Design by Dewey. He makes those CVO 103 heads shine. He'll help you select cubic inches, and camshafts. Take his advice on the pipe too. You'll be very happy. He did heads for me, turned out better than I expected.
If ya are gonna open that 103 up for 110 bore ya might as well do the crank and go 117+. Ya need to do some research, there are some good running 106-107s out there but ya have a pretty good running 103 already so if it's not enough for ya, going big would be my suggestion!

My buddy has a 103 se in his 06 road king I have a 98 hillside build in my 06 fatboy. I can leave him in the dust with 2 up on mine. I would consider the 107 with the right cam/head work for type of riding you do and you may be quite surprised it will be a different bike totally and be a cheaper way to go
I'm liking what I'm hearing. I am looking for a runner. I want to twist the throttle and know theirs an engine in the bike. I know their is no substitute for cubic inches but cubic inches and I know u have to be able to move as much air thru the engine as u can.
