True Duals vs Slip-ons
School me please, trying to decide if I should spend the extra for True Duals over just a slip-on.
I think I've decided on the MGS for my 2012 Road King Classic but I'm still not 100% and have until Friday when I plan on ordering something.

I have used slip-ons, true duals and now a 2-into-1 and am a convert. I understand the appeal of TDs, having ridden with them for several years and they are OK, also sound great, but they do drop low/mid range torque. Having installed my Supermegs not only have I got improved torque, but the engine runs much smoother ans sweeter. So of your two options I would go with slip-ons, as you will retain the 2-1-2 arrangement, which should IMHO give you a nicer running bike.

Look at the S&S Power Tune Duals. They are well built, easily installed uses any OEM style slip on mufflers. You will retain the low/mid range torque. I have them setup with a pair of Screaming Eagle Performance Touring mufflers. The EFI motors have to have the "cross over or power port" to work properly. 2 into 2 looks nice but you give up way too much.
