Rough running engine problem
I went for a long ride through the mountains today. At one point I parked my 2012 Superglide and went for a walk to take some pictures then had lunch. When I returned to my bike I found that not only had I not locked the ignition, I had left the ignition switch on so my battery was dead. Where I was was on a hill so I pushed it out to the road and got rolling downhill until I reached just over 20 mph and I let out the clutch and it started up. The problem though was that it now sounded and felt bad. There is quite a bit more vibration even at highway speeds, it is noticeably louder and there is a clunking/tapping sound. I am thinking that maybe the crank slipped. Does that sound right or what else might it be? Also if this is what happened will it be covered by warranty? Should I be careful how I word it when I explain the situation to my dealership? Any input would be great. Thanks!
