Looking to put the HD 88-95 kit on a 2000 Ultra Classic and have a question about something in the manual. The manual talks about removing the wrist pin bearings using the press tool but then on the next page it discusses removing the be rings using a reamer. I'm having a tough time reconciling. What am I missing? Thanks
Before you install the OEM 95" kit, have the piston to cylinder fitment checked with the cylinders torques to spec in torque plates. The "kits" are not matched components and I have seen a wide variance in fitment. Fitment is probably OK but IMHO, worth checking.
Don't know how many miles on the top end but check the fitment of the new wrist pin to the bushing bore; if it's within service limits, don't bother with replacing.
I can't answer your questions about what could be mis-prints in the manual. Use common sense.
