hello I have a 82 fxrs superglide II i recently put 2in drag pipes on my bike now idle is fine . when i crank on the throttle it bogs down like shes running out of gasor flooding out if i let it sit for a moment in idles back fine i checked both plugs the back one looks black but the front one looks white totally confused what can i do
Your bike needs to be dialed in again...you have changed the back presure to the engine dramatically. Your idle jet, will more then likley need to be upsized one size.
After you have done that, adjust your idle speed, and if it is still running rough check for air leaks at the intake manifoold. Spray some WD 40 around their and see if there is any change in the sound of your bike at idle....the bigger the change the bigger the leak.
Putting pipes on will not effect your timing, niether should changing the coil and wires. First check all your coil and wire connections, that might explain your plug differeces. I agree that you need to rejet, adjust the mixture and accelerator pump on the carb.
