Lightbulb 1942 wla ??

Hello everyone, brand new here so thank you in advance for any help.

I am looking to help assess and identify this bike. I have been hunting for a WLA for a while now and one popped up. I was hoping I could some expert opinions on the motorcycle before I completely pull the trigger. The story on the bike is basically it was a patrol bike in Germany up to the end of the war. It came back and was purchased or given to the GI it was issued to. He civilianized the motorcycle in/around 48' or so. The repaint came about in 1959- it was driven into the 70's. He got sick parked it and it stayed there until recently. I was told the only things done to it were the lights, seat , windshield removal and paint job. I don't know about buying the story but it looks good, runs very well and does have the original title to the original owner so that checks out. The vin number looks good to me, and the belly numbers check out. The speedometer looks to be from a later year?

Was hoping you all could take a look and tell me what you think. I would appreciate any insight and advice going forward on this one.
