Default Should I replace these gears?

Tackling a 45 3-bolt tranny for the first time.
I don't know how well it worked before disassembly, so I don't know what to fix.
Pictures below are for 1st and second gears. No missing teeth, but certainly showing some wear from their respective clutch gears.
Should I replace them 'while I'm in there'?
Leaning toward replacing second gear for sure, as it would get the most use and is the one you need to find reliably!

Replace, every little bit helps to remove slop in the transmission. Look on the Bay for OEM/NOS, sometimes you get lucky, good luck.

I guess I knew the answer.
I haven't been very lucky with finding OEM/NOS parts.
The bike is completely apart. There are so many things that need to be replaced, I can't possible wait to find OEM/NOS parts, so I will certainly have a multi-national restoration.

You are already in there. Why not? Ask if this is what you want to deal with down the road. Andrews gear set is a great replacement. Just had my 1996 transmission done replaced everything.

while I know the guy is trying to help with the Andrews gear set - but they do not make 45 parts at all nothing

in your search the real guys who are selling are listing those gears with the original part numbers -- and not 45 trans gears kind of thing

BUT your parts book could have the 1920s parts numbers that are 5 numbers and not 7 numbers sometimes a gear or two will show up but - 35275-41 is one of the gears - main shift first gear this is the number you need to chase those parts

No matter how I search ebay, I can only find one OEM 1st gear - $125 !
Slim pickings.

John,
Don't worry about it. I'll flip a coin and pick one.
If things don't work,I will have a nice bike to look at and display.
