So I finally took the 45 out for a test run after it sat all winter. With Non ethenol gas I might add. And it ran rough at speed almost no throttle response wants to bog. So I figured maybe the gas was bad. So I siphon out all the old gas and I see crud in the bottom of the tank. And mind you it’s not a rotted out rust bucket of a tank. I don’t think it’s oem tank but I have no way of knowing.
Any ideas on how to approach getting the crud out?

Fuel tank on a 45 is pretty ease to remove form the frame. Remove fuel line at shut off, three bolts and off she comes, leave the oil tank on. Then rinse as desired. For debris I would just rinse with gasoline, or maybe kerosene if available. If stuck on crud, white vinegar will get it done with some time.
Do you run a fuel filter? That can get crudded up, cleaning that out is part of my yearly maintenance. Good luck.
