"New" WLA
Hello everyone!!! I'm a new member. I've got a 1942 WLA that I bought in Athens, Greece in 1974. It's been pretty much in storage since then. Now, since I'm retired, am starting to try to get it up and running (finally). Figured it was time before I get too old. I plan to redo it as a civilian model vice Army. Right now I'm getting the frame and springer all set to be powdercoated gloss black.
As I proceed and encounter the inevitable glitches, I'll probably check in here from time to time for advice and suggestions. Right now I'm starting to disassemble the springer using ratcheting cargo straps to take the load off the springs.
Take care...Bob

Welcome aboard.
What trim is your 45 in now?
If it is still in original military trim you might want to keep it that way. They are much more unusual and valuable than the civilian conversion, which most of them had done at some stage.
Pics would be good.
