Default 1966 Servi battery

Have a 1939 Trike (engine), converted to 12v system, with a 1966 electric start added (last owner was handicapped). Trying to find out the proper battery to use (Ah and CCA). Previously use battery was a car(?), concerned the CCA are to high (750). The components to the starter are basically the same as a XLCH that uses a 28Ah 280 CCA. I have this battery presently, but it doesn't seem to kick over the starter system. Any ideas out there?

Thanks, Paul from NC

I have a 1956 servi with no electric starter. I use a $25 riding lawn mower battery like they sale at Auto Zone, etc. I understand many people that have electric starters use the same battery.

Thanks, interesting....I already have a sporty battery left over from my sold 77 XLCH. So, it should work. My old 1954 servi was 6v and kicker. Plan to use the kicker on this one, but....electric starter are handy.
Thanks again for you feedback
