Angry Shifting wrong

I bought a 1945 flathead basket case with a 69 ge motor . Finally got it running. Runs great. The problem is when i put it in first on the gate it seems like it is in third, when i put it in 2nd thats seems ok but i cant get a 1st anywhere.

post up some pictures of what you are looking at in the shift tank gate and linkage

you could have an adjustment off or an issue in the gearbox its self

some of the guys are driving exactly what you have and can and will lend a hand
