trying to fit speedo cable around the tank as don't know where stuff goes as the bike was in boxes and trying to google and look at stuff to find where and how stuff is mounted ! putting the engine in This is getting to be interesting putting parts in then taking back off as to fit another part in cause it was in the way to get it in 2 forward 5 backwards ! Well this came in now have to take the front fender and rim off to get it in ! Back to 2 forward and 5 back again ! Decided to run the wiring in the fender and mount the taillight doing a little wet sanding and buffing
Well had to put the bags on the bike as it was a new toy ! Well had to drill holes in the fender for the bags They fit so good and look good Got the headlight wired Hi & low beam and it works with the horn ! Did something right this time ! Stuff is going on pretty fast dash, Tanks, bags even have a brake light and taillight !
It's going together pretty fast, as it's been about 2 months of work putting together and a month cleaning and priming parts and of coarse ordering stuff ! Also about 5 years of going to swap meets and looking for parts . Trying to get these oil lines on as they don't fit really that good so a little adjustment ya might say ! Well that didn't work putting the throttle cable on the head bolt like the military ones are ! Found out it goes on the tank bolt lower one . Kick starter really not giving me a full swing ? As in the pic top compression .
Working on the shifter linkage as found a leak in the new gas filter as it's made of copper and doesn't set right in the brass eyelet of the carburator . Leakage in the new copper filter unit as it doesn't seat well in the brass unit on the carb . Always something to make your day !Plus linkage is a problem with the carb.
