Default web site speed

I'm having problems navigating on this site! When I read a post on the forum and I hit the back key it takes forever to get back to the start of the page or even as simple as signing on it takes forever to connect to the server? It get to point of not wanting to go on the site because how hard it is to navigate and I love this site! Any help would be appreciated!

thanks...

It's so choked with advertisements and scripts it goes slow. I don't have a newer computer. It almost locks it up every time I come here. This is the only site that does it. I used to check this place a few times a day. I enjoyed the conversation here. Now I come maybe one or two times a week. If it keeps up I don't think I'll renew my club membership. No point in paying for something you don't use.

It's what I have and it's what I do. But our work internet speed is around 12Mbps, so no website is going to be that fast, no matter what I do.

Yup, that's what I did/do also and it works even on my old computer.
