Hi , Is there an option of being notified, possibly via email , of a reply to a thread or post ?

Go to USER CP...EDIT OPTIONS...MESSAGING AND NOTIFICATIONS...DEFAULT THREAD SUBSCRIPTION MODE and pick your choice.
